From killer donuts to killer boobs, this week we're motor boating some seriously monstrous and murderous mammeries, because we're taking on "Killer Rack"! An indie B-movie that features a H. P. Lovecraftian elder god worshiping plastic surgeon, demonic boobs, perfect cheesy special effects, and the right mix of campiness and over the top acting. So sit back and enjoy this very self aware and surprisingly fun film.
And to give an example of the movies senae of humor, it has a scene where Lloyd Kaufman sees the killer rack and proclaims "Jumping Jesus on a pogostick" upon which a jumping Jesus on a pogostick bounces across the screen. Actually, I think that was the funniest joke in the entire movie which should tell you something.

Honestly the entire soundtrack slaps and this might be the best random choice movie I've ever chosen? What a fucking masterpiece. The camera quality is high, the acting is great, every single moment of the movie is fun, the dialogue is insane but in a good way, Debbie Rochon is there playing a doctor named Cate Thulu, like what else could you want?

GUNNING A FORD BRONCO through Fish Creek Wash in California's Sonoran Desert is going full Baja mode in every sense, a fat contrail of dust jetting from 35-inch tires. Nothing unusual about that. Except it's spilled-ink black outside, demanding a keen lookout for the truck-killer boulders as they suddenly loom into view.
In the dark, the good-times Montezuma Valley Road turns diabolical. Dun-colored sagebrush skitters across the road like a bristly animal, making me catch my breath and reach for the brakes. Deer- and steer-crossing signs raise my heartbeat another notch. In lumbering 4x4s of yore, this would be another scary midnight movie. But considering its go-anywhere powers, the Bronco tracks smartly through a final descent, the comforting lights of Borrego Springs rising like embers from the valley floor below.
